Id say your closest tracks are
www.scrccc.com (Landsborough)
QRCCRA (EPR) Brendale, Brisbane. (Race SSF 1/10 Touring every second Friday Night). I know a few Racers come down from the Sunshine Coast for these race nights.
10.5T motor, Blinky mode, Foam tires (37 Shore all round seems best).
Check out race calendar on QRCCRA website for dates.

Blinky mode means a ESC that has, or is able to be set, with no timing. The ESC should blink when set to the zero timing mode.
35 shore will be OK to start with but may be subject to being chunked a bit easier.
If you are able, come to Brendale this Friday night, if the weather is kind to us, and we can run you through the specs for our SSF class and you can see if it suits you.
For our track location see our website Here

Trevor.

The Sunshine Coast track is located at 15 Tunnel Ridge Rd Landsborough at the Landsborough Sport and Recreation Centre. We are also presently racing 10.5 turn Tourers on Rubber tyres. Next race meeting we are going to give them a go on foams, probably 37 or 40 shore. We are also going to swap our race meeting to be opposite to Brendales Friday night weekend to avoid a clash of this class all on the same weekend, so some more of us can race at Brendale and hopefully visa versa.
If it happens to Rain we can race electrics on rubbers in the Sports centre.
This is timed drift racing, we couldn't get traction on the vinyl floor, but noticed if we drifted we could race. We had to drift, driving slowly was not an option. It was very different and a lot of fun. We could also race fifteen minute finals. In fact my car ran for 45 minutes on the same battery.
This was just with standard onroad tourers not drift specific cars, all we did was lower the ride height.
Regards Graham

The track is located in England Park on the corner of Leitch's Rd and Stratwyn St. Brendale. Be there by 6:15 for a 6:45 Start.
Bring all your gear with you and ask for myself or Kerry and we can see what you have and what you may need. Race fees for the night are $10 for your first run and $10 thereafter if you become a member or $15 for non-members.
