is deans still the "best" conector?

tryign to get everything together for when my new B4 gets here. and it comes with deans. i personally hate deans, cold they come undone easy, but put a bit of warmth in them and they are virtually stuck.
is there another conector that is eaiser to swap out that is still low resistace?

ive never used them on 1/10 scale, so i may like them. but on my mini T and RC18 back in the day i hated them with a passion, lol. i don't have a soldering iron so i would have to have the local hobby shop put new connectors on, but they will do it free if i buy the connectors there.

ive never figured out why people say deans are hard to disconnect. grab wires and pull them apart. i know pulling on wires isnt the best thing, however if you pull the wire off the plug you didnt solder it correctly and need it to come off before it causes a problem.

if your talking 1/8 scale then you should be using EC5's. They are rated for the amps the car will pull with the ESC, Motor and Lipo. If not you will notice your wires getting hot and who knows what else could happen.

Switched from Deans (actually the ribbed knockoffs) to XT60's a few years ago and have not looked back. Worked great in everything from 4wd SC to 1/8 e-truggy. Buy the XT60's from HK and they are cheap ($3.19 + shipping for 5 pairs).
If you want to stick with T-style connectors, get the ribbed ones from HK. If they are still the same as a few years ago then they are just as good as true Deans but easier to pull apart. Also, 10 times cheaper.

EC5's are overkill on a 1/10 scale. I use them on my 1/8 e-buggies because they can handle so much more juice. For 1/10 I have used deans and they have been fine, except as noted they can some times be hard to pull apart and the knock offs get too loose and can come unplugged. I have recently started using the Traxxas connectors and they are working great. I also thnk the Traxxas plugs have a slightly higher rating (amps) than the Deans.
