What to do with Airtronics M8
#1
I thought I would look to replace my Novak synthesized with the spectrum module. It looks like it's discontinued along with Airtronics module of the same kind.
Any modules being made for this still or has technology moved on?

Any mould that works the M11 (not the m11x because it does not use modules) will work in you M8. I swap modules, Novak synthesized, airtronics sythesized, airtronics dsss, and spectrum, between my M11 and my kids M8 frequently.
I had to modify the M8 modules to fit the m11 ( the m11 has an extra pin so I had to notch a hole in the m8 module's board to allow the extra pin to pass through the board and lock into place) but the M11 modules fit into the M8 with no issues and have worked flawlessly for me.

Radiopost offers a module for the M8/M11, you have to use their rxs though. Also if you look for Giyoung electronics on Ebay they make a 2.4ghz module and rx combo under the Frequen module name, for around $50.00 for both. I hope this helps.
