Default Life 1300mah receiver pack problem

Hi, i'm having problems with my life receiver pack. On its fourth cycle it only drew voltage out of one cell as one cell went down to 2.3 volts and the other was at 3.4 volts. Does this mean its defective? The first three cycles both cells discharged evenly. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yep. Its done. Life cells dont seem to last long at all. I had two protek packs go bad within a week. I contacted Protek about it and their response was "Life packs are a newer technology, and we're still figuring it out." Ill never buy another Life pack.

Just curious, Why are you cycleing a life battery? For the record, I have a protek life and ran it all last year, zero issues. Always fully balance charged it and properly stored it when not in use.

You are supposed to cycle a Life pack for the first few uses.

Look at the notice http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Balancer-Plug

Huh. That what it says. I did NOT cycle mine and it works perfect. I charged it after every use. I have probably charged it 50 times and always balace charged it. I did some research before I bought it and no where did I read they have a break in period. That is why I never cycled it. It also says not to discharge below 2.5 volts...

How far were you discharging when cycling? It’s also recommended to limit the amount discharged for those break in periods. Just a hunch, but that might be why sschultz didn’t have problems, perhaps he didn’t do any deep discharges?

no I did not. OP stated his voltage on 1 of the cells got down to 2.3. Might be the problem.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "cycle". I used it on three different track days and balance charged it before each time I used it. After each time I used it the voltage dropped evenly between cells and never went below 2.9 per cell. I think it's strange that this time voltage got sucked out of only one cell, pretty much. Thanks I appreciate your guys feedback and comments.
