I think what we are seeing is, softer tires are a benefit during the winter.
The track, and ambient temps are much, much lower
74/75 was money for Team Repsol yesterday

Finally had the Roche chassis sorted well and enjoyed some great battles in the A group that was a very clean group to run with all day. Only grey cloud was a great run in A3 spoiled by a car 2-3 seconds off pace on a tight track that probably should have been more aware of faster cars coming up often as they were many laps down. Hi-lite was the battle with Chris Cabrales that same race. Not only fast but a very clean driver, a sportsman and a comedian. I could not believe during the race when my front wing was rubbing the tire after getting caught up with a slow car and Chris and I were battling that he asked me "why is your car still fast ?". Chris, I hope I can keep my game up to have some more battles like that with you in the next round.

Hey Guys, thanks for tolerating the VTA cars and allowing them to run on the track between the UF1 racing rounds. On Thursday the 3rd Sean asked me about my thought's on having the 1st race for VTA cars on UF1 Race Day. I told him no I didn't think it would be a good idea.

Initially Cuda and I thought it would be cool to just bring the VTA cars out Jan 5th, have them in the pits to drum up some excitement for our new class. I thought it might be cool to just run not race the cars in between rounds. Because of the excitement generated around racing VTA racers asked Sean if they could race them on Jan 5th.

I'm THE Ultimate Fan of F1 and I have mad respect for what you guys have done for F1 as a class. Please forgive me for popping up in here sorta off subject....Just want you guys to know, I am in no way trying to intrude or upset anyone of you. Out of my respect for UF1 I never once set my VTA car on the track yesterday.

Respect!

Todd, I thought it was cool to see that many VTA cars out and I didn't see any interruptions. Looked like guys trying to test F1's between rounds had room. If VTA can become like UF1, a series that can bring out 30-40 drivers each race, that is only good for the hobby as a whole.

+1 my friend. By the looks of things so far i'm sure 30-40 racers won't be a problem. My hopes are to have a similar race format for VTA, as with UF1. I love the look VTA cars and I like the race format of UF1.

Who no's, having 21.5 Big Blocks make a mandatory pit stop may be a good way of leveling the playing field for 25.5 Small Blocks. This may even also add more excitement to VTA as a class.

Yesterday's race for me was as always The ULTIMATE in F1 Rc.

I agree. It's been a great read. If you want to make the next write up may I suggest going into the pits at full speed and taking out the Pit Boss's fingers

It was great having you in the series, Chris. You were on a roll lately, too! Guess them top dogs will have to wait until the next series to get beat by the local hotshot!

Gonna miss you for the final races Chris. Guess I need to find someone else to laugh with DURING our races now. Safe travels.

Yup, have to raise my hand on blasting into the pits in A1 on my first stop. Made sure not to do that again. I did the knock on my head motion when TP looked up.

TP - great race recaps and the podium reports are great too. I have sent the website link to friends in Germany, Singapore and China and they are just jealous at what we have going here. Thanks for help keep what Lightfoot started and we all love alive and thriving !
