Default Question on Charging Lipos

First off, I've never had a lipo before, and I'm getting back into RC. I've got an old Indi 16x8v6 that can charge lipos, BUT when i go into the menus to set up the charging, it only lets me specify the battery's mAh up to 6000. Now, I was looking at pro-match batteries and they have a 7200mAh that looks nice, but it doesn't seem like my charger would be able to do it (they also have a 5000 that I might end up getting instead, i guess).

So, my question is, do any newer chargers have issue with a max mAh that they can charge to? Cuz I might just look at getting something new, that's probably better than my old relic anyways. Thanks for any help!

Good, modern chargers charge to a packs' cutoff voltage, i.e. 8.40 for a 2s pack and how many mah it takes to get there is irrelevant.

I'd had an older Hyperion, i forget what model, it's max was suposedly 5000MaH. I never had an issue charging a bigger Mah pack to a full charge.

It just means that your charger has a max charge rate of 6 amps. It will still charge the larger battery it'll just take a little longer.
