While I haven’t been racing with you guys for a year I agree with the race etiquette leaves a lot to be desired at times. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the best driver out there, maybe middle of the pack on a good day but I do my best to stay out of the way of the leaders or anyone about to lap me. If I’m near them on the stand and I see them coming up behind me I’ll move to the outside a bit and tell them to take the inside, 99% of the time I get a thank you for doing that.

Of course there are times I get in the way or bump people and normally I’m quick to apologize and while an apology doesn’t get the other person their position back or the 2 seconds off their lap time I think at least acknowledging that I bumped them means at least something. It’s just very frustrating that a good portion of people seem to think that driving through someone, or over someone or cutting the track to avoid a pile up is the standard way to race. I know, I know, but Eric you race short course, it’s to be expected. Yeah well maybe some rubbing is to be expected but when you beat someone to the corner and they proceed to dive in to the corner and hammer you that’s not racing, that’s poor driving. And how about this, when you do hack someone how about you wait or give them their position back. If you’re good enough to catch someone you should be good enough to pass them cleanly.

I don’t know, perhaps penalizing someone a lap for poor driving or cutting the track might make a difference? It’s a fine line and I don’t think anyone wants to run anyone off the track with penalties or black flags but where does it stop?

-1 NOT WELL SAID... There is a reason the shop hasn't been open over the holidays and if I'm not mistaken it is so the guys / gals can take a well deserved break and enjoy a vacation. To be on the website site every time someone has a question and needs an answer instantly is not their job. You must have some patience and be happy when the info is released.

As I quote another... If you have nothing nice to say "keep it to yourself"!

I'm tired of the online bashing and apparent lack of respect, especially those wiser and further along in years.

Sorry, but I wasn't trying to bash anyone, I understand its the holidays, I was just saying that the info should be posted weeks In advance before the trophy race so the people that travel know about it and the times. Some people like to know in advance that's the only point I was trying to make...

On a positive note, it should help keep your servo in place should all the bolts back out. AE should make good on this ASAP if you give them a shout!

I'd slap you around with my 13.5 4wd this coming weekend if I wasn't roped into my company's annual meeting in Indianapolis. It may be slowish, but I won't break it
