Couple of questions?

Do the tires that fit the FGX wheels also fit the F104 Wheels?
Are you guys running blinky mode.
Is there a set gearing?
I am needing to know the basics to run with you guys

blinky mode, F104 wheels are different than fgx wheels (i think, pretty sure really), no set gearing, just 21.5 motors. i think that is all current, i know someone will come along and correct me if im wrong ha

Short answers, No, Yes, No

For the tires, Tamiya has two different wheels, rubber & foam. The tires that fit the FGX wheels will fit the Tamiya rubber wheels. The tires that we are running on the F104 fit the foam wheels.

Hope that helps, PM me if you have any other questions.

So..What tires are you using on foam wheels?
Why are you using the foam wheels and not the ones for rubber?

For the F104 we use Tamiya #51378 wheels and #1031 & #1032 tires. The Tamiya tires are the same as Pit Shimizu #0571 & #0572.

I've got the car all put together and electronics mounted. Now I just need to paint the body. I'm trying to decide between just doing the stock paint scheme (F60) or doing my own. How many other stock scheme F60's are running at the Plex? I'd rather not add another if there are already two of these on the track.

When are you guys running these things? I've read the enitre thread and I think I'm hooked. I think I need to get out to the track and see them run.

I've seen a couple of Ferraris on the track, one that runs regularly.

We run carpet every Wednesday evening

and we run them during the Winter Carpet Series, once a month.

Thanks for the reply. Also I looked back through the old posts in this thread and see several Ferrari's listed. So I think I'll try doing something a little different. I'm looking forward to driving this thing on the track!

I run the f60 but the sooner you get out there the better. Doent matter that you would have the same paint. Uf1 has teammates so its not an odd thing to see two of the same car. Its an easy and fast paint job. Just get out and run.

I glued the rubber tires to the included f104 v2 foam rims. But then I noticed there are no holes in the rims. Am I supposed to drill a hole in each one?

What diameter did make the holes? Also, is there ideal spots to drill these? Such as, closer towards the middle of the rim or towards the outer edges or does it not matter? Thanks
