Ok 1st thing their is not a single charger out that can determine the actually C rating of a LIPO batter..NO CHARGER OUT or anything on the market can give you 50 amp draw..yet alone 200 amps like many New lipos are rated ie...45c-5000 mah-7.4v..or 2 cell..so thats like 225 amps of current..then go for Burst 90c..lol right 450 amps..

as to all this roar allowing 4.30Volts a cell NO

max safe voltage is 4.200000 volts a cell..anything Higher is doing a Russian ruellet with a semi auto..BADS THINGS WILL FOLLOW..fire smoke house burning down so on

Storage voltage is a good idea helps preserve the pack.. I always do a 6.8volt storage on 2 cell and I have a few packs 5 that have lasted 5+ years of racing..RCM 3200mah 25c 7.4V( gotta love them Kokum cells)

many New lipos call for 3c to 5c charge rates yes the pack will out perform other packs that have 1c or 2c.. but they will not last as long in my personal experience ..

doing what a few have said in this post will get YOU or others around you HURT or worse..HERE..READ LEARN UNDERSTAND..http://www.maxamps.com/lipo-care.php

Just dont do what a few have said in this post..DANGER !! DANGER !!
WILL ROBINSON

Good luck stay safe and disregard all the crazy unsafe info in this post..I tell the TRUTH ONLY..Be safe and have fun..

Wow that makes me feel great that I just bought one of your chargers. The fact that it reads IR is part of the reason that I bought it.

powerlab is definitely more accurate than others in the market as the way it meausres individual cells is different from say the standard common circuit you find in most other chargers.
but......
again the same rules apply. difficult to compare pack vs pack of different s count so as long as you compare your results on the single pck only.....then its still good information on the pack you have.
but don;t compare one brand to another brand if you are using different s counts. it dun work

Charge the battery in nimh mode for 5 min, then try to charge in lipo mode. While doing this do not leave the battery unattended. Charging a lipo in nimh mode will make the lipo go up in flames.

Never charge a Lipo inNiMH mode for any amount of time. Geat way to start a fire and blow up your charger. It may work fine for a little while, but will soon swell up the cells. Toss the pack and pick up a better SMC battery for less than you payed for that Dynamite.

I only tried this one race day when the pack (1s) read almost 0v. I charged it on a NiMH setting for about 2 minutes (just enough to get it to a little above 3v), then continued charging it on a LiPo setting. The pack worked great all day after that, but by the next race day it read 0v again, so I pitched it.

ok..so heres my results.I charged it on nimh for 6 minutes on .25 amps(keeping a close eye and feeling pack allot for heat) and got it back up to 6 volts then i switched it to lipo recovery which is a .5 amp 2 min charge and did that for 8 minutes.I watched the volts go up to 6.5 but as soon as it stopped charging it would drop a half volt or so.I have concluded that the battery was toasted and decided to scrap it and get a new battery.anyone know the proper way to dispose of these batteries..thanks

Soak overnight in a bucket of salt water, then pitch it in the trash.

agree. the pack has an internal short circuit. continual charging will increase the internal short hotspot and possibly lead to fire. scrap it
