Was there a VTA class today?
One of my VTA's still waiting for parts to arrive.

Couple heats of 17.5 Sedan and then some pan cars.

Pretty sweet track!

This is kind of a sweet looking F1:

What are other good options for rubber tire F1?

For the FGX: Pit Shimizu 561 fronts, 565 rears. I did a lot of testing last winter with my two. If you do get the FGX, wait and get the new Exotek conversion with IFS to go with it. Both of mine are McKune conversions, but Troy stopped making them almost as fast as he started. As far as time comparison on a small track, 12th scale was running around 7 seconds for 17.5. WGT was 7.4 for 13.5. TC 17.5 was around 7.6. 21.5 F1 was 8.3. TA was right around 9.5 running 25.5. I probably can't race Sunday, but will bring them by for a demo between rounds.

Is F1 1 cell or 2? Shorty pack? 21.5 motor? The more I look at this FGX the more daddy likey.

Without going into full setup, I run:
Thunderpower Z3-R 21.5, Protech 3800 50C Shorties, Hobbywing Justock speedos, Savox 1251 shorty servos and KO receivers. It all fits on the deck under the body.

I'm stopping by the track tomorrow after work to make sure our trucks are in working order for Saturday. I'll bring one with so anyone can have a peak. No jumps though.

Yup...sit tight fellas.

Building an F104 now. Take me a bit to get it together. Will have more than enough for a class soon.

Sweet! I may just go ahead and order that FGX, it's kind of "plasticy" looking, but it's also got some neat features. I'll order the full front suspension for it too. Just have to wait on the exotech conversion I guess.

I keep searching for a used 104pro, the 104V2 is alot more than I'm willing to front currently.
The basic 104 would likely be ok, but the Pro used is a better setup.
I forgot about the 3racing FGX chassis.
Time to do some more reading....

From what I understand you will be competitive with that "plasticy" car. It did very well at the carpet nats earlier this year.

Default F1

I'm looking to pick a f104 also. What do you guys think if this?

http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...lc70/index.htm

I have always wanted a rubber 1/12 scale class but looks like tamiya f103gt is the closest thing.

It is too bad they don't make them any more.

For those of you who knows tamiya well can I convert a f104 into gt?

I think PHC (RCP) has a F103 they want to get rid of if that helps.
