So I'm trying to put the Rc10 back together again with some loaner electronics, here's what I have:
Spektrum DX3 Radio
Spektrum 300 Receiver
Spektrum 3100 Receiver
Orion 3800 Pack
LRP Sphere Comp
Novak Ballistic 17.5

I plugged everything in, bound the receiver to the radio, I synch. the ESC to the radio, when I turn it on, the motor won't turn and the servo only turns one way. I checked both receivers, bound them correctly, per manual, and still nothing...It's like the signal is not getting to the Speed Controller....Any suggestions??

Once again, these are loaner electronics, and I don't want to mess too much with them....

Thanks in advance...

Check the connections from the ESC to the receiver. Make sure the wires aren't pulling out of the plug internally as well.

Has anyone used the big bores on their SC10 yet? What do you think of them?

Had a great relaxing time today. Had a good time racing on the new layout. Layout is bigger now thanks to mark, alex,me,reinaldo, dave and of course melissa, It's awsome now and still is 17.5 friendly and should be great for the vintage race... Also mark shoot me a P.M the specs of your m11x if you still want me to sell it for you on here. Pics aren't needed but they do help sell it. Also can you order the Drop down, Im keeping the ko. Thanks see you all maybe sat.

Also, PM me on how much you can get me a Futaba 4PKS-R for.

Thanks,

7.5 is too much of a difference, gotta say no on that one, I'll pm the price on the radio tomorrow.

The servo only goes one direction, with both receivers doing the same thing? (that tells me a bad servo or radio, possibly a bad receiver but that normally goes bad both directions), The receiver binds correctly?

Unplug the servo (take it out of the equation). Try the speed control by itself. If the speedo works in the throttle socket (2 or T), then try it in the servo socket (1 or S), it should work using the wheel on the radio. If it works in both slots fine - bad servo.

If there is still a problem...use one of those 4 cell (AA) battery holders to power the receiver and servo. Test the servo in both steering and throttle slots. If the servo works fine in both, bad speed control.

The third test requires a second, known working Spektrum radio to test both receivers. If a second radio works fine with the receivers, servo, and speedo, then the radio is bad.

I have them on my buggies and they work absolutely amazing. I will be getting them for my FTSC10 soon though when I get the money but I highly recommend them.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the help, I still haven't had any luck getting it going, the radio is binding to both receivers, the ESC is not communicating with the radio properly,...I'll give it another round of test, maybe take everything out and re-wire it.

Hopefully I can get it going by Wednesday....

Mark, I was thinking. You could maybe have a "Stock" classes only nationals. I am not sure if its already been done but if not I think it would be a pretty good idea.

Thanks

ROAR already does a Stock National Championships. We'll see if we can grow stock classes enough in the local area before we work on any "stock" only races.
