Default Orion R10 question.

Can the R10 Pro really handle a 4 pole motor? I paid alot of money for one and the specs claimed it can handle 2s/3s lipo's,and 16000 kv motors. I hooked mine up to a Tekin Pro4 4600 kv and after 5 minutes of racing the light on yhe esc was blinking green and red. The manual says that blinking light means it cannot read the sensor wire. The motor is brand new . I changed the sensor wire and still have the same problem. I used the program box and turned the timing and boost off. The 4 pole motors don't like timing. I called Horizon and they had no answer for me,so I sent it back to them. I just want to know can this speed controller honestly handle a 4 pole motor like it claims?

I've seen the first-batch Orion R10's running the Tekin 4-pole motors in a 4wd SC truck w/o issues for over a year now so yes, they can do it. It's also possible the sensor board in your motor is bad, the ESC will see that the same as a bad sensor cable.

Thanks. The motor is brand new. If it is the motor that would really suck.

Ran a pro4 half of last season on a R10 Pro, plan to run this season as well with it.
