Between Avid batch1, associated big bores sets and avid batch2 you should have every spring rate covered very small differences between all three so fine tuning will be nice

Good luck!
Yeah I know but they aren't there. I guess I'm not one of the lucky ones that came in.

Ok, help me out, I am a noob to suspension tuning...

Why run stiffer springs than the stock brown/green on the V2's?

With BB shocks will I bottom out less?
I am still learning to downside jumps so I often jump too far and the chassis slaps the ground.

Thanks!

Edit: Probably should have mentioned my track conditions.
Most people here either run some kind of BB setup or Brown front with 30 wt and green rear with 27.5 on their V2's

He was referring to when the grip is high. I run mainly on astro, and on high grip surfaces the brown spring will cause the front end to dig in too much and bring the back end around

big boars usually have more pack so stiffer springs balance it out...

I'm waiting for the b4.2. for now rb5 wc works fine.

b4.2?- shocks, slipper, steering rack, c hub tower, hex, maybe stronger arms?....as in more wear even for more money. Maybe better diff components but i never had probs with em. defiantly finisher body. that thing is HOT even for like 300 id buy. but with all upgrades included

So, what would be a good starting point for AE BB springs for my B4.1?

Track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_UrCRICetU&feature=plcp

The winner of this race (Jason Ruona) was running the Brown/Green V2 setup with 30/27.5 oils.

I am running mod buggy with a full sized wolf pack.

Thanks!

not to change the subject and I'm sure this has been covered but what is a good range of pinions and spurs to pick up for a 8.5 or 9.5. Track is (should be if the township allows) a medium to large sized track (we ran 1/8's in there last year) Also what sized packs fit in well in the +8 chassis. Thinking of getting some nano-techs 5000's or 5600's.

thanks in advance.

With an 8.5, 81/23 or 78/23 you're choice. 7.5, just drop down one pinion size and you should have a good starting point, with out using boost or ramping.

I don't have an answer but that Ruona guy straight up took out first place right at the beginning of this video in turn 2 and kept going. That's effed up.
