Why are you causing this mess diesel power why? Take it to pm in sure no one really wants to listen to you anymore! All your doing is causing a scene no disrespect. But I'm sure you wouldn't want mark or John or any of us to do this on your fourm correct me if I'm wrong.

That said, the whole 17.5 augment is moot. I like the class. If people want to boost, let them, as the ones that use it won't win anyway. On the smaller tracks I'm a few seconds faster with the 17.5 than my 8.5 because I'm not battling wheelspin. Even when I tried boost, it slowed the car down. When we had the RC driver race I won stock and mod unboosted.
Uh...no. This is what A-mains and B-mains are for. Or mod and 17.5. You can always request that a racer's car be spec'ed either before or after the race, if that is a concern. Whatever the case, I think you're crying for nothing when it comes to cheaters. A good enough driver can make a 17.5 as fast as or faster than mod on a small course, as has been repeated here multiple times. Have you seen the YouTube video of Mark whopping the 4wd class with a vintage 17.5 RC10? Case closed.
Any noob with a soldering iron can hack a switch to make a diode blink.
I ain't gonna call out any names, but ya'll know who the usual suspects are/were that were clearing doubles and triples with a 17.5 that no one else could...........and it certainly wasn't tuning.

I've checked Chris Proctor's truck, and his truck was legit, he's about the only one out there that I would be concerned was able to not only able tune their Speedo/motor/timing/boost/gearing correctly, but also had the driving skill to utilize the advantage.
I've seen just about everybody's soldering abilites, and I'm certain that nobody is is hacking their speed control with a soldering iron.

What would you have a fast guy like Alex K do? (I've already told him he can't race the 17.5 classes)

By adding the 17.5 class you open up the racing to people who may be either intimidated by mod or just started in the hobby and don't want to run with us in mod.

I don't think it's right to tell a fast driver that they can't race in stock class. It's a whole new class. If he wanted to race in novice then I would say no. But to tell him he can't run in 17.5 stock I think it's wrong. Plus if your going to make it stock then it should be 17.5 blinky mode. No boost or timing end of story. Novak makes a nice affordable club stock esc wth no timing or boost in it that would be great to use for this class. I have seen a guy that I race with u at Madness win mod sc running a 17.5 stock no boost no timing. It's more about how well you drive and how you can gear it then it is about speed. 17.5 class is supposed to be about fun as is all other class's. Not many of us are pros just weekend worriers who want a break from their long ass work week and have some fun with friends by having some great racing. I for one can't stand all the bs that has been going on at tracks lately.

Wish I could race tonight (got the kids tonight). I'll be practicing though on thursday, to hopefully increase my total laps from 20 to 21 in 17.5 sct. Good luck to everyone going to the Jconcepts race this weekend. If someone could take some videos of the mains, that would be great! See most of you guys at Wednesday Worlds next week.

Hey CT racer why don't you shut the up. I like the idea of a 17.5 class and I wasn't saying anything bad to anyone or being disrespectful. If you can't be a part of the solution then don't say anything. Sorry if you took it the wrong way. For once i wasn't trying to start anything on here.
