Futaba 4pl, Airtronics mt-4 or radiopost?

My Futaba was a big step up from the GT3b for me. No glitching if you use reverse. My steering servos were quicker and noticeably more responsive and the batteries last a lot longer. I hope you got your receiver problem sorted out.

For the time that it worked (few seconds) it was noticeably quicker. Still doesn't fix the glitching issues i'm having. I tried switching it out with a new reciever, same thing, restored my esc to factory defaults, same thing, used a glitch buster, made it worse, checked all my solder joints, they were fine. Tommorow i'll try my castle mmp and see if it still does it. If it doesn't the hobbywing esc i had in there is bad, and if it keeps doing it with the mmp, then i got the first ever heard of bad 4pl transmitter. As you can see, i'm running out of options. If anybody has any ideas please tell me. Also i'm broke as hell so i hope it's not the transmitter.

You only just bought it so surely you can exchange it for another? Otherwise there should still be the Futaba warranty. Not sure what that is like. Sucks though, because you expect to be able to run when you just coughed up $210.

I already tried a brand spankin new reciever after the one that came with the radio. The new one did the same thing the one that came in the box did, which tells me it's not the reciever's fault. I really think its my hobbywing esc that's causing all the problems. It just seems weird that my scte ran fine the weekend before with my flysky radio. Never ran near water or abused the hobbywing. I do recall when in the a-main using my flysky, the throttle was fine for pretty much the whole run. Just 2wice it went full brake and my truck went 90° (nose down). That may have been a warning sign that my esc was about to go out on me. I won't get to run my scte in this big race my track is having this weekend. I will get to run my truggy though. If i have the same problems with my truggy (nitro) then the only explantion is the transmitter is bad (highly doubt).

swap the radio gear into something with a different ESC or something nitro and see what happens

Rock, sorry for your troubles. I had the same issues when I first powered up my truck. I was pretty upset, took it back and they installed a glitch buster in the truck. I was amazed at how smooth it suddenly was. Could it be possible that you have a bad glitch buster or possibly installed it backwards? I wouldn't give up just yet. I promise you that this setup will live up to your expectations once you figure out where the high amp draw is coming from!

Sorry but you're all wrong. Put in a mmp that i know works like it should and all the problems went away. Guess my 150 hobbywing crapped out on me. Can't figure out why though. Anyway i will put a new hobbhwing sct-pro 120 amp esc in there next week. Haven't heard any problems with that esc and i already have a programming card for it.

Don't have the $50 for a new reciever nor the $60 for an sct-pro. Been runnin low and need to wait for a paycheck. Some priorities are above rc. I'm just happy i get to run one vehicle at least tommorow.

Rock- Check the voltage output of the Hobbywing BEC, I bet it's low. I had a cell go bad on one of my lipo's, so when I plugged it in I was only getting 3.9 volts and my 4PKS rig was acting exactly like you describe. Or maybe you have a bad lipo? But if it is the BEC on the HW, you can bypass the BEC and run a rx batt (of the proper voltage) to be able to run your SC.

I know it's the esc. Checked my lipos cells with a voltage checker and they were fine. The bec in he hobbywing should be fine due to the mmp that worked fine having a way lower bec voltage. Now i'm out $50 for a reciever, $60 for an esc, $35 for a body ,and $70 for a buku clutch on my truggy. Not having any money for these items: priceless......
