Andrew,
If you racing at Mikes you will have better luck running m3 suburbs and suburb fronts or scrub fronts in m3 compound with proline molded inserts. The holeshots/ribs combo works when its really wet, also if the holeshots are about halfway worn out they work even better. I run the rear camber link all the way out on the hub and in the A position. You'll probably have better luck running the upper rear shock mount on the inside hole and inside hole on the arm.

Yep, I am running at Mikes. I had a good run going last night. I was hovering between 18/6:00 and a high 19 lap run last night until a little past halfway when I tangled with some lappers. I would like to get my laptimes fown in the high 18's. I think my best last night was a 19.2 and a 19.3 in the main. I still need a lot of practice, but I think I have a good starting point to work from at least. I will try the changes you mentioned and see how it feels. I will have to try some suburbs. I was never able to make them work when they first came out, and I still have not been able to get any of the bar type tires to feel right for me. Maybe it is just because I am used to running pins since thats what we always ran before, but I will give them a shot. Thanks for the info, Im sure I will see ya at Mikes!

Default what closed cell foams to run in front barcodes?

ok guys, just like to know what foams do u prefer to run in your front tires? i run blue barcodes front and rear at my local track with 3/4 of a rear foam in the front and the stock in the rear! the last two weeks i have been liking the medium jc profiled inserts for the rear tires, but i would like to find a front closed cell insert that has a fuller fit in the front than some other foams that dont seem to be the right size for barcodes! thanks in advanced

Kind of off topic, but what kind of times to 4wd sc's get @ mike's? I'm wanting to compare to vrc (assumeing the layout is still similar).

I personally run closed cells front and back. AKA reds in the front only and JConcepts Med or AKA reds in the back.

PL CC fronts have a rounder profile and fill tires a little better IIRC. I run them with holes punched in them. Soft front foams work at my tracks.

I don't have any front BC's mounted at the moment so I can't say for sure though.

I haven't seen the AKA fronts yet so I can't compare them.

I never had good luck with the PL fronts. They seem to be too big or full for the JC fronts. AKA's seem to fit better.

P-L closed cell in all my front tires. In the rear I run P-L closed cell in my Suburbs, but stock foam in everything else.

I also vent the tire if I run cc foams.

Track layout on VRC is from last years showdown, so you could go to mikes hobby's home page and look thru the results. I think 17.7 is the fastest on the current layout.

AKA's front and rear with 9 holes in each front and rear foam. (there are 18 ribs on the underside of the AKA's, I put a hole in between each rib, larger holes in the rears) PL's quality seems to be diminishing to me...I'm getting one foam per package where there is a larger diameter one (taller) than the other. Also, I thought I'd give the PL rears another shot last weekend...and after only 6 battery packs in 17.5 with out saucing them, the left feels like a "flat" now BOO !
