When I was learning to drive 4WD, I quickly learned to stock spare parts that were cheap. Shock shafts are only like $6. This was your day of 4WD fun doesn't come to a screeching halt.

Hopefully AE can make spare big bore shafts available at launch.

Me as well. I found the car to be better with big bore springs and shorty packs, regardless of stock or mod.

Always run the full size Wolfpacks with the big bore spring conversion.

No one is running a shory wolfpack with the big bore conversion correct...?

Thx...
False. The ready wolfpack weighs between a full size pack and a shorty pack. Most shortys weigh around 200-205 grams, the wolfpack weighs 261g and most full size packs weigh around 285-300 depending on the c rating and size of the pack. I ran shorty for a small time before i ran the wolfpack. I love the way the wolfpack feels and im currently selling my shorty! (if anyone wants one ) if you run on a high bite indoor clay track..then you might want to try one..but if you run on a track with even allitle bit of dust or bumps..i wouldnt even think about buying one

The way you stated it it shouldn't matter. I use a shorty with 17.5 and 13.5

Can you elaborate on the spring kits ? Will they be sold as "Spring Kits" only, as Avid does now? Or will you be able to pick and choose which springs you want to purchase ?

Thanks

Yeah, I keep a pretty sizable stock of them after a couple of those incidents. I even have spare shocks so I can just swap one out and fix the broken one later.

Hopefully AE can make spare big bore shafts available at launch.
I wouldn't buy them until I had both suitable shock towers and could get some spare shafts. Too risky otherwise.

I probably won't take the plunge until I've exhausted most of my V2 shock parts...

What are the part numbers for these? The only thing I could find for the B4/B4.1 are the plastic ones #7497.

Why are people complaining so much about the ae big bores? First it was oh they need to hurry up and come out its taking forever, then you want to complain about the price? To me the price isn't bad at all, the v2 non big bore shocks go for about $80+ for a new set and with the big bores only being about $20 more I think its priced just right but hey that's just me........

Well I guess it all comes down to what one can afford or wants to have...Why not have all the the kicks, the new shocks and spend a lot of time practicing? That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.

The nice thing about dish is if they're the same color (white), you can't tell if they're mismatched without looking very closely.

The rumor down here in SoCal is that your car pushes more with Rulux on the front since air passes through them. I believe Tater told me that...

The funny thing is when I see people running mismatched wheels they're almost invariably running the Rulux wheels in front and dish in the rear, which should be the worst possible option.

My only issues with them are the lack of hexes and the fact they're a bit on the soft side, so they break easily in use and/or deform when stored. I actually like how they look and find the spokes a handy wheel speed indicator.
You believe Tater? j/k.....
