But i think they should offer 2 choices if they insist on including tires. If the contract is with Proline, then one kit with Suburbs and Scrubs, and another kit with Square Fuzzies and Ribs. Those would cover the basic spectrum and keep the relationship between manufacturers. I may be biased though based on my sponser lol. I think you are right though about the price drop if they didn't include tires. It would be less than you could sell them for.
How often are you building kits that the tire included is really that much of a bother to you? Use 'em as a set of street tires for tuning/troubleshooting at home.

Thanks, Waflet.

First, what's the difference betwen the V2 slipper and the old one?

Also, I was comparing parts and noticed that the transmission case halves have different part numbers as well as the rear chassis plate. Was the transmission shifted fwd or aft on the 4.1?

2 differences in the slipper. 1st thinner, drilled (lighter, cooler) plates. 2nd, thicker, shorter spring. Not sure the plates make that big of a difference, but if you don't get a triad/vts, you MUST get the spring. It is so much easier to tune.

The difference in transmission case is the metric out drives. Metric out drives require metric bearings which only fit in a metric case. Again, I'm not sure how big of a difference there is between the metric out drives & the light weight sae out drives, but it is different.

They dont bother me at all, but I think if companies like AE are gonna include tires in a Factory Team kit then they should offer a couple of combo's. Especially considering they offer SC10 RTR's with so many different body choices and different wheel combo's. And I normally buy a new SC10 FT kit and B4.1 FT kit each year before Cactus Classic. Not that big of a deal, but still a lot of unused tires. I just give them to whoever needs tires. We as the consumer should expect the most out of companies we support. Not take what they give us. Show them a carrot and they may take off after it. 10 different RTR's or 3 different FT kits? Which would you prefer?

Why would anyone have to win with it to have different tire combo's? I guess you could say the body has to wait for a worlds win, but tires? Not like Cavs used Holeshots in Vassa.
