I'm sure it has a lot to do with personal preference but Cav runs Kyosho and I'm sure he could run whatever ones he wants. I'd run K-springs.

Hey guys I got an Avid bellcrank to put in my B4.1 (or maybe my SC10) but not sure exactly how to go about it. Can some one give me a few pointers please? Do I need any hardware besides what is already on the car? Anybody got a pic of the the installed crank?

Thanks in advance.

Just use the hardware that is already there. Pull the rack out. The servo saver portion of the rack gets replaced with the larger piece of the Avid rack and the smaller one goes in place of the smaller one. Pretty easy.

Cool that's what I wanted to hear klaymon. I've not disassembled the steering rack before so just needed a little encouragement.

"pretty easy" is my specialty lol

If I go ahead and get the +8 chassis, can I just swap it out for the current stock one? Besides the body, is there anything else I need to buy in order to make the conversion?

Thanks for the continued assistance.

Just a few questions:

How worth it is the VTS slipper? Yes I said VTS, not Avid. I would like to keep my buggy mostly Team Associated parts.
Is this all I need for the VTS conversion:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Conversion-Set

Also, help me decide what battery to get in the future. I plan on running a Reedy 7.5T motor geared 21/81 (although right now I am borrowing a reedy RTR Brushless motor and ESC)

-I like the price and weight of the Wolfpack
-The 65C sounds like overkill but the 6500 Mah is nice to have.
-I originally planned on getting the 60C 5500MAh before I saw the other two options.

Ok last question:
It seems as if I cant get my car as low as 24MM both front and rear (im running stock springs)
I might be measureing wrong though as I am only using a ruler.
I would like to make sure I can get the car to 24mm before even considering a lighter battery such as the wolfpack. (currently I am using a Gens Ace 40C)

Thanks for reading my big post! Lol

Ive not tried the vts on a 2wd, to me it is too bulky to run in stock class, for mod maybe. If you want to stick with the AE stuff than i would say stick with the stock dual disk slipper. But yes, all you need for the vts is included in that kit. If you are planning on running 7.5 then i would go with the 25c reedy wolfpack, it is going to have a smoother power band than the 60-65c packs. I suggest picking up a AE ride height gauge, you can go down a few mm lower than 24mm especially in the front. You wont have an issue with the lighter pack

I have a VTS on my Sc10 2w and by b4.1. The short bus needs it, it makes adjusting things on the buggy a little easier.

It's also a whopping $15.
