RC10B4.1 FT/WC
Hey all second time out with my ft b4 today and I had to rePlace the inner rear hub bearings. I'm running shaved u brace losi bb springs and two limiters in shocks. Wondering why with only 7 packs through it. My sons t4 hasn't had any issues like this. Any Info would be great thanks
Hello...
I was thinking of switching over from a SC10 to a B4.1 worlds platform.
Could someone tell me If I can swap the transmission out on my SC10 for the B4.1 trans.
The reason I'm asking is that my sc10 has the MIP top shaft and full ceramic Avid bearing, ceramic outdrives, carbine diff balls, and carbine thrust balls.
Also what other parts are swappable between the sc10 and the b4.1 worlds?
Bearing...?
Rear hubs...?
Avid steering rack...?
Avid big bore springs for the rear of the buggy...?
Thx...

Anybody have a pretty good set up for the carpet track? I normally only run outdoor.. I'm just looking for something that should work well everywhere, that I can be semi-competitive with, not really looking for perfection. Just going to go out and have some fun some place different.

Blue groove and carpet are not close...you will need a much stiffer setup for carpet.
I had the same issues...to fix it I used some Teflon tape (the stuff plumbers use) and put one wrap around the bearing taking notice to only barely overlap the bearing on the back side. Then once I pressed the bearing into place, I used a razor blade a cut off the excess tape from the front. I have not had a failure since. Some people have used locktite and CA, but I don't use those near my bearings if I can help it. Us this makes it a little easier to remove the outer race if the bearing does implode again.
