Same setup here. Brand new car and I've run one day on an indoor track and then I ran one day on a really loose outdoor track. Halfway through my outdoor day, the inner bearing was in pieces.

Hello...

I was thinking of switching over from a SC10 to a B4.1 worlds platform.
Could someone tell me If I can swap the transmission out on my SC10 for the B4.1 trans.

The reason I'm asking is that my sc10 has the MIP top shaft and full ceramic Avid bearing, ceramic outdrives, carbine diff balls, and carbine thrust balls.

Also what other parts are swappable between the sc10 and the b4.1 worlds?

Bearing...?
Rear hubs...?
Avid steering rack...?
Avid big bore springs for the rear of the buggy...?

Thx...

Yes the tranny is swappable, most of the bearings are the same size, steering rack is the same and only the rear springs are swappable. Not sure about the rear hubs........

everything that makes sense is swappable. Tire/rims, a-arms, body sc bumpers are obviously no go. But tranny , hubs, caster, top plate, ubrace, ball studs, bearings, spur gears, motor plates, pinions, t plate and the steering rack will all work on the b4.1.

Default Carpet Track setup

Anybody have a pretty good set up for the carpet track? I normally only run outdoor.. I'm just looking for something that should work well everywhere, that I can be semi-competitive with, not really looking for perfection. Just going to go out and have some fun some place different.

blue groove and carpet would be close. C hubs for sure lower you ride height. And you will need to play with you front camber links go get the right amount of steering.

check here:

Blue groove and carpet are not close...you will need a much stiffer setup for carpet.

I had the same issues...to fix it I used some Teflon tape (the stuff plumbers use) and put one wrap around the bearing taking notice to only barely overlap the bearing on the back side. Then once I pressed the bearing into place, I used a razor blade a cut off the excess tape from the front. I have not had a failure since. Some people have used locktite and CA, but I don't use those near my bearings if I can help it. Us this makes it a little easier to remove the outer race if the bearing does implode again.

So, you mean people who drive Losi vehicles? Not acually TLR sponsored drivers, right?

I was running 7000K and I was digging it. I think my friend has tried 7000 and 1000k and he said 7000K was golden.

You should just upgrade to a ball diff so much better!
