Default Detune steering through transmitter

Isn't it true that you can "detune" the speed of your steering servo through the transmitter? (if the transmitter has that option)
I have the Futaba 4PL I'll be using (not installed yet) and curious about slowing my steering speed down if I need to. See, I'm a nooB at racing and I have bought a very fast servo (0.06).

Page 54 of the 4PL manual will explain how to do that. It sounds like it would be a good idea for you to play with that feature if you find your servo to be too fast.
