if u have a short straight like that, i would just go with a mayb 24 tooth pinion u will have toped out alost after half way down it and you should have plenty of low end to make your jumps. if u wnat a little more top just start tuning with the timing on the endbell

hey guys made a mistake and blew up my esc.....plugged the bullets in the wrong pol omg man it hurt my feelings well luckily i had a spare esc in my pit bag and it didnt take long to tune it for the race which i had to do a matter of min before the race so i was pissed at first. my truck ran good in the first heat, came bck and made a few adjustments and it ran better in the 2nd heat, made more adjustmenst and when we had a break for the mains i ran it for bout 7 laps and man i can tell i was goin in the right direction with the settings and all. so go to the amain and changed tired because the traction was super high so i went to firm inserted slicks and man oh man i tell ya i was dialed for the main and won. wnt from fustrated from the blown esc to winning the main with a differet brand of esc and got it dialed when it mattered.

Do yourself a favor and just get the avid steering rack. If you don't want to wait, glue it locked down.

Glue it, and get spare bell cranks, cause they tend to break. Its actually the only thing I've broken on one of these. Of course, you can upgrade to the Avid or equivalent, too.

I would just tighten it up tight and I've never had a problem with it springing out on me.

Agree, just get the Avid steering rack. More direct steering and holds a line better than glueing.

Just about to pull the trigger on one of these.

Would a Tekin RS Pro with 10.5t motor be a good combo for a indoor clay track?

I just placed the rs in my sc10 and it is running great it is smooth and easy to program. I've had one in the 22 I had and the same result except now I know how a nice runnin esc suppose to fee like and the rs is good with just about any motor that's within it capability , I think but I'm not sure you don't suppose to go biggeer than a 5.5 turn ot 4.5 turn or something like that. And chaces are you will prob not go that bigof that motor anyway

Where the two plastic parts come together. The upper part gets threaded from the blue aluminum nut into the lower part. Spring is in the center of it. Just put some CA glue inbetween the two halves and tighten the nut all the way down, order the AVID kit and replace it all when it comes in. I also hear the STRC ones isnt bad, but the Avid looks like a pice of jewlery, I love it.

Keep trying different combos to see what your track requires. I usually only make adjustments between the two heat, then which ever one I like the most I run in the Main.
So would it be your opinion to run Avid springs with TLR lowers and traxxas uppers? or are TLR springs close enough? I run a T4.1 but this thread seems more racer oriented.

Hey guys,

I just picked up a 2wd sc10 from a friend for dirt cheap. he bought it a couple years ago as a rtr kit and never ran it. im sure the tires are trash because it has been in his garage. I am looking to run the truck and was wondering what you guys rec for me to be competitive, i was thinking about shocks and chassis, tekin pro, fantom motor, and savox servo. any help is appreciated.
