See the three little silver dots on the top back by the handle, the middle one is the screw that holds the top down, take that one screw out and the top opens up. To get things lined up on some cars the locator covers up the screw...

+1000 for the ofna truggy box...and yes you can hinge it if you want..just take that screw out like stated in the above post. i find myself cringing when i look at other people starting there cars on "normal" one motor boxes and it sounds like a tired dog trying to get of the floor lol

I have the hudy box and couldn't be happier. Small, light, plenty of power to start my motor and it looks nice and clean.

I agree. I upgraded from a pair on NiMHs to 4S lipo and also rewired my OFNA truggy box this spring with 8AWG wiring and a relay off the main switch. What a difference. It almost turns too fast.

I've been running a xtm 1/10 scale box for 1/8 scale use for 9 years and have had 0 issues thus far...have broke in more motors than I can remember...havent even had to change the wheel lol...gonna re-wire it for LIpo use this summer...it's got the same motor and stuff as the all-mighty OFNA blue box(which is a phenomenal box just to big for my tastes)

WOW, I feel like a dummy! Thanks Danny, I thought the screws that hold the springs also screwed into the lid, thats why I didnt try taking that little screw out. It works like a charm, thank you very much.
