It's personal preference for the most part, but 10 to 30 is a common amount. Just enough to plant the nose off power without upsetting the chassis.
I was reading on ultimate RC that AE updated their rear shock tower on the b4 for LIPOs by adding a larger battery cut out for the taller packs and moving the inside hole inward (the 4th hole). This was a post from 2+ years ago. Did those changes ever come into effect? Did they ever make a new tower? If so, what the part number?

Does anyone know of an updated spring chart that has the Avid/Losi/Kyosho spring rates on them?
I can find the avid and losi rates but am having trouble finding the kyosho rates... If anyone does not know where to find a chart I would like to know the rates of the kyosho white front and gold rear.
Thanks!

All the pros stopped using all the carbon parts and the factory team kits followed this trend. I would assume carbon parts sales plummeted so they couldn't justify yet another mold since different molds are necessary if you are using different materials.

Ok, I will make sure I get the plastic rear tower. Thank you.
Hey guys, I got all my stuff to put the Losi BB's on. Now I live an hour away from my regular track so I dont get much test and tune time and I have 2 big races there this weekend. My buggy was dialed last weekend with green rears and brown fronts using losi 30wf 27.5wr. I run a full stick pack on a +8 chassis. Should I be running yellow rears and orange fronts? I have white rears and red fronts to.
Krio, you were spot on. here is a reply from AE support.
"You have heard correctly. The part number for the newer shock towers are 9572 for the b4 and 9824 for the t4. We did not do updated carbon towers because the plastic ones performed better anyways.
