I can send you an e-mail with all the information just let me know your e-mail address. It will be great if we can have Sirio representatives (Distributors, Drivers etc...) at the race

I have been running the Sirio/Collari with great results. It really pulls hard! I found out that the engine does not like to be "shimmed" more from what comes from factory. I am using a Nova Turbo 7 C (Caliente) and Maxy's fuel, great combination indeed.

Thanks Miguel.....I wish I could split myself.....but in October I'm going to the 200mm Touring Worlds in Brasil, for my continuos learning process, and I just can't afford two trips in the same year and month...who's gone work for me, jajajajaja.
Let's keep in touch for a future venture. Good luck for you, and if there is anything i can do to help you with your Sirio just call me.
My E-Mail is: [email protected]

Default <<< NovaRossi fan but!

Afriend of mine wanted me to drive his car to see if it was tight (push) Anyway it had a Sirio .12 in it and I have to tell you I was impressed by its power. As far as the carb goes I have rebuilt a few of them and they all seem to have the same problem. The o ring on the mid range needle leaks I coulden't tell you why because most don't even mess with that setting but it's a easy fix just put a film of RTV around the outside of it.You can check this by taking the carb off attach some fuel line to the inlet, block off the intake and the outlet with your fingers ,stick it in a bowl of water and blow on the fuel line. And I did get a Outlaw Sirio 21 and stuffed it in my MTX-2 for grins and what a rocket

AFM: No problem! I am sure you'll be having a great time in Brazil between races (Kaipiriña! ). Keep an eye on team Kyosho, I really want to see if the FW-05R can pull the win.

Sure, no problem, just don't forget to put some after run oil on it while it rests awaiting you to unleash the beast at the track.

Default After run

After run oil is a good idea but also make sure the piston is BDC (down) right after you run it .

Thanks again AFM, I would rather wait a couple weeks till I go to the track again to complete the running-in rather than run it up and down the street.

Default Engine Problem

Hey Guys,

I have a .12 sirio Standard Racing engine, and i am having major problems with it.

A LOT OF FUEL IS LEAKING OUT THROUGH THE CARB

it is virtually impossible to tune, the idle keeps shooting up, then down , and then shuts off, i cant keep it running.

I ordered the o-ring replacement kit for it and i will see if that does the job.

I was also thinking about changing the Carb

i was going to put a novarossi carb on it .

I was also wondering if there is a specific Novarossi carb to fit the sirio .12's

I was also wondering if anyone knew if the HPI 12R XS Carb would fit a sirio .12

or any other carbs that would fit

thanks

Ok,I need some advice.Im going to be getting a new motor for my NTC3.I really want an X-12 or an NS3,but I dont think I can afford one.I have an opportunity to get a brand new EVO 2 for 150.00.How does this motor compare to the other motors I mentioned? It seems that a lot of people are down on Sirio.Ive never run one so I have no experience at all.

$150.00 !!!!!! That's a steal. Were can i get one!!!!
For that money you'll be surprised, and so will your friends with their $300.00 + Nova based engines.
The Evo2 is capable of racing at par with them. Just scroll down this forum and you'll find the tips, do's and dont's to be followed. Specially with break-in and carburation which are critical for a good performing Sirio.

Have fun

tower has the sirio evo 2 but with threaded shaft which is ok for the tc3, got one for my losi truck but it came with the small head, I think that the 3 port comes with the small head and the 5 port with the big head. sold it for 150 like brand new cause I wanted to purchase the sg shaft but it costs about 60, for that price plus a hundred I can get a new one 3 port legal with sg shaft

First batch of Evo2's (about end of last year, early 2004) came with small blue or black head. All new Evo2's, 3 or 5 port come with the new big blue head.
In the States, the best deal I've seen for an Evo2 3 port SG shaft
ROAR, IFMAR, legal is at www.speedtechrc.com $189.99.

Default Go for it!!!

I think I'd have to agree with AFM on that call! Jump on that Sirio for 150 bones then gear it right and you will run with the NovaRossi . I have been running NovaRossies for a long time and was very loyal and if you tear them down next to each other It's obvious the NovaRossi has more quality built in to it but heres the thing The Rossi is a better engine but it isent twice as good then a Siero and you can get two Sirios for the price of a NovaRossi. Do the math. And I'm getting way tierd of shelling out so much coin for the N/Rossi. I think they are getting a little to proud of there name. And when I saw that the stock Outlaw 21 can turn 44000 I thought yea right but much to my suprise it is right
