Radio Control Hobbies & Raceway - Waterbury, CT.
My son and I stopped by the track on Wednesday to check out the racing, we had a good time and we're thinking about giving it a try. My son is 12 years old and hasn't raced before, I'm thinking it would be good for him to start out in 2WD SC. I'd prefer to just buy a RTR kit to get him going. Anyone have suggestions for what SC to get?
I used to race 12th scale pan cars but haven't raced in 4 years or so, I'll eventually get an offroad car myself but I first want to get him started.

I saw u there. I believe I showed u and ur son where the bathroom is. Honestly, in my opinion u should go with the team associated rtr kit. They have a kit that comes with truck, controller, lipo battery and a charger. U honestly need nothing else to race. U should talk to mark about them, my friend bought one there for around $300 and u also get 4 free races when u buy it there so its a great deal!!!!

Epic failure today with the nitro. Pos wouldn't build any tempature at all ended up rounding off the pinion gear. Guess that's what I get for rushing out the door with an half built vehicle.

I wouldn't consider that and epic fail. Could have been worse like my day, breaking a connecting rod.
