Default Castle Creations SCT Problem

Okay I am fixing up my neighbor's traxxas slash. He Has A 1/10th Castle Creations SCT esc and motor... The throttle works, but when applied it either studders then gets up to speed... or you have to pull it a few times to go. His little son drove it through a major puddle, so maybe one component is just trashed. When it runs, i see the esc light flash when the throttle jerks with the throttle response... is there a fix for this? Or will i have to tell him he needs a new ESC or Motor? And I just replaced his radio system with a TQi system and nothing changed... Battery is good and the stearing servo works fine. Any help would be appreciated

Did you try a different battery or motor? Is it only on hard acceleration or just any forward throttle?

Centre the throttle trim
Set the throttle / brake EPA's (travel) at 100%
Calibrate the ESC to the transmitter

What ESC settings are you using ?

What battery are you using ?

Cheers

everything is zero'ed out, and the motor is making a major grinding noise... I think due to the puddle the bearings are shot... I am using a 25c 4000mAh Hardcase Lipo to test it... I am swapping it out for my venom 20c 5000mAh to see if it makes a difference... I think i have pinpointed it to the motor due to the high orange corrosion on the shaft...
