Receiver/servo power
#1
I'm working on my crawler and I've found that I need more power to help my servo out. It's been suggested that I use an external BEC, but I was thinking since weight isn't an issue, why not just run another battery to power the receiver and servo. I know my receiver can handle up to 9.6v, but would a servo get blown up by this? I'm thinking about using a 2s lipo that's hanging around doing nothing.

Thanks. I was able to find a really smoking deal on a BEC, so that's where I'm headed. Found out my servo can draw up to 7a if I'm going crazy with it. This is probably the better solution.
