Hello:
I am looking to purchase a transponder and I was wondering if the MYLAPS RC4 Hybrid Transponder is a good purchase? I am brand new to racing and haven't even raced yet but I'd like to sometime in the near future. Does it not matter which transponder you have or do you have to have the transponder that matches the system used at your local track?
Thanks,
Joe

Check to see which system the tracks in your area use before buying a transponder.
The AMB (MyLaps) is the most common but there are a few variants. ILaps is a completely different system/technology so they are incompatible with AMB and AMB clones.

EDIT: I read your response in my email and did not realize you answered my question in your first sentence. Thanks.
