Default Tekin RS esc

Hi,

would like to check, what is the motor limit on the Tekin RS esc?

I checked on Tekin website, it show 7.5T. But on A Main Hobbies, it show 5.5T. So which is correct?

Btw, I'm planning to run 8.5T motor for buggy race. Will the RS Pro be a better choice or the RS is enough?

Thanks.

It used to be 5.5 but Tekin revised the specs recently and A Main hasn't copied the new specs. (They just copy what the manufacturer says.)

The Rs will be Plenty fine, you will see no difference between the Rs and the Pro. Like stated the Rs will even handle down to 5.5 although not covered by Tekin anymore, With a proper setup.

Ok. So there won't be any heating issue right? I'm concern that running close to the motor limit might over heat the esc.

It's a suggested motor limit as trigger finger and hotwire settings can push you to the boiling point.
