my 17.5 TC, 17.5 RCGT, 21.5 USGT, and 25.5 USVTA cars all have the same setup other than FDR and ride height...
basic, a good rubber tyre setup...is a good rubber tire setup...
change your tires,body, and ride height and try it...then tweek if you see a need

. the gage just slide all the way under to the other side.
reason I know he doesn't check it is he left it at the track and I still have it in my pit room

Thank you. I will be sure to fully document my vta setup so I can throw full bore into the usgt setup. I don't mind the tuning at all. Thanks for the heads up so I know what to look for.

That makes sense given that the D-compound tires are so hard.

For your car, style, and track conditions, who knows... all I can say is give it a try and if it doesn't work than yeah, document the previous set up as you hunt for another one. I'm running a xxx-s, on a very high-grip indoor asphalt track. The very stiff set up I had for GT, didn't translate well to VTA. Now, we are using sweep spec tires vs. the exact tires specified for USGT, but nonetheless the set up I had to keep the car from grip-rolling made for a push-monster VTA car.... I went waaay softer and lessened the camber so that the entire tire surface was being used more, no roll-bars, ect. YMMV, all I can do is give my experience as a pointer

Another question. Do you guys find that the spoilers actually help with traction or are they more for looks? I would like to leave mine off but if it helps it will go on.

I was throwing more (rear) droop into the mix for VTA, trying to get some weight up on the front. In Gt, that was a no-no. The car had all the steering it needed with out that.

Some might call me crazy but I've had a spoiler come undone from my old Cuda body and it definitely made the car loose on entry off-throttle at high speed. I believe that's because my setup may have already been borderline loose at the time. If your setup has plenty of rear traction to begin with you probably would see no affect. I feel confident in saying my setup at the time was not all that great, nor were my driving skills. However, to answer the question... Yes, it did make a difference.

I used my TC setup and TQ'D, but I had to be very careful because the rear was driving over the front. Not following the front, meaning the rear would get very loose. I'm thinking the tires are not making traction because they are new. I'm going to try tire warmers to get them softer. If that doesn't work i'm going to try the non-belted tires. I'm running on indoor carpet.

I'd say for sure it helps with downforce. Even more so on longer/faster tracks. In the past, I have seen the same thing where cars lost their spoilers and looked terrible.
