Looking for some help

Ok guys I'm hoping someone has some ideas, cause I'm fresh out.
My buddy is having an issues with his T4. After 3-4 small throttle inputs it will goto full throttle for a few seconds. All of the electronics were pulled from a Slash I sold him a few weeks back. I owned the slash with the same electronic set-up for a few months with no issue, and he had no issues.
The set-up:
Radio: FlySky GT3B
Receiver: FlySky
ESC: EzRun 60Amp
Motor: Chinese 10.5T
Servo: Traxxas
Now for what we have tried, 2 different Flysky receivers, two different servos, many different batteries, Have rebound the receivers more times than I thought possible
, tried a Reedy 3300Kv motor. Even went so far as installing an Airtronics M8 with a Spektrum module and Spectrum receiver. All with the same results. We did not have a spare ESC to try.
So do you all think it is the ESC? If so, any idea why it worked in the Slash, then 10 minutes later this issue came up in the T4?
Thanks,
Tom

The instruction sheet has nothing about transmitter calibration, but it does go through the normal tones.
The ESC setting are all stock defaults other than:
Brake force was changed for defualt to 75%
Drage brake from default to 30%
We have tried Sky Lipo's 3300Mah 20C, Turnigy 5000Mah 30C, GensAce 5000Mah 40C.
As I mentioned this exact, complete electronics set-up has been running in a slash since mid December, and was just remove and installed in the T4 and this issue came about.

I thought the same thing. But there are a few guys at my local track with these, and they are telling me it just senses neutral when powered up, but past that there is no calibration as far as full throttle or full brake. I did look before, when I thought I lost the instruction sheet, but all I found was the same thing that came with the ESC.

Update
My buddy just pulled all the electronics and put them back into the slash, and now the problem is gone. Everything works normally.

What in a truck could cause such a thing?
I do remeber back many years ago, I had a Traxxas Stampede, with an AM 27Mhz radio, that I had interference issues with after changing all the tranny gears to metal gears. But something like that surely wouldnt affect a 2.4Ghz radio would it?
