I'm just about to leave the track. Ron, Peter and I have been working on it since 11. It's obviously not in the best condition it's ever been, but if we don't get any overnight rain we will be racing tomorrow.

Peter and I are going to try and be at the track at 6 in the morning. I'll make a post shortly after that, but at the moment my expectation is that we'll have a with a slightly late start, but even with that we'll still easily be finished before 5.

Hi Daniel,

Based on the information you have available now, how much of a delay are you expecting. I am travelling down for the day, the delay will effect my leave time. By 6am I will already be two hours into my journey based on the advertised start time.

I understand this will change if it rains overnight.

Thanks

It's hard to say but let's go with an hour. So, 9 a.m. or a little after seems most likely.

I am at the track now, and have just done a walk around. Sections are still damper than I would like, but the skies are clear and all indications are that it is going to be a hot day. There is no rain on the radar at all, so we'll be racing at some point.

I would like to thank everyone that attended yesterdays King of the Valley.
Even with track being muddy in the morning and the late start the track came back to round normal conditions by finals time.

What I could see behind race control is that everyone was having fun that it the most important thing.

Congratulations to Ari Bakla Buggy King, Thomas Toll Truggy King, Dallas Garinder for EP8 win and all other competitors.

Hope see you next year we are planning some track changes at the end of the year should be a exiting 4th installment of King of the Valley.

Peter

I'd just like to echo Peter's words, and also thank him for the work he did behind the computer both at the meeting and in the lead up. Peter is one of the most dedicated, hardest workers for the club, and he deserves our thanks. Special thanks also to Ron Smith for his contribution to getting the track ready for Sunday, and Greg King for his work organising the trophies.

As always we have to thank our sponsors:

Hobbies Australia and Frontline Hobbies for supplying the LARGE trophies. Fusion-X Engines Australia and Pro-Line for their contribution of great raffle prizes, the Liverpool Radio Rally Cross Club for their promotion of the event and the advice and support of their President John Lewis, also Stephen Broadley and Broadley Signs for putting together a sticker sheet for the event.

Congratulations go to Ari especially for a great win in the Buggy class, aside from being a great driver, Ari is also an excellent ambassador for Pro-Line and he thoroughly deserves the win. Mathew Primmer shocked everyone by bumping up from last qualifier to eventually finish second, so a great drive from Mat too.

Congratulations too to Thomas Toll for his hard fought win against last year's king Brenhan Wade, those two went head to head all day, and in the end Tom just had a little more pace on this particular occasion. Dallas Gardiner was unstoppable all day in the EP8 Demo Class.

Thanks to everyone who competed. To those from Taree and Liverpool, it was great to have you all there enjoying your racing, you helped make the event one to remember.

The next meeting at Maitland will be the second Nitro-X round for the year on April 1st.

One of our club members Tony Hodskiss took some shots of the action early in the day: http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...cpZZ1QQtppZZ20
