maybe he doesn't have enough money and buying a brand new car doesn't make you faster when I buy my cars used usually I put all new bearings in them rebuild the diffs and then you are good to go.

Never said it would make you faster. If someone is looking for a really nice used car, the next closest thing would be a new car. And you don't have to worry about putting in new bearing, new diff, etc.
