Trick question...
The springs and pistons from an RC8B DO NOT fit the 8.2, correct?
Its a different setup?

Pistons are the same. the springs are a tad longer so will have a different feel but will work. It would be a different setup.

The std B raises the roll center and makes the steering much more driveable.

That's the Cliff's notes.

Got a little gift in the mail today...I had emailed AE about the missing screws and washers, and today in the mail was a small package for me. They sent full packages of the stuff that I was missing, I was expecting to get only what was missing but they sent the whole packages.
Great customer service provided by AE.

How do you know if the setscrews for the swaybars are tightened correctly? The manual says "tighten to remove free play but ensure some movement". It seems kind of hard to have no free play and some movement in the same instance...

How long should the antenna tube be? Does it have to extend outside the body? It doesn't on my MERV and I've not had any control problems with it. I'll be using a Futaba 4PL and the receiver that comes with it.

take the shocks off and tighten the swaybars set screws making sure the arms will sill drop under their own weight and not bind.

Antenna tube is dependant on receiver type. I run KO and make he tube long as the receiver wire needs to be fully extended outside of the box... hope that makes sense. I know when I ran spektrum I ran the entire antenna inside the box.

paint then cut.... I did NOT vent my body but its mid 50's low 60's here where I race... If you need more air flow because ESC is getting hot... Then vent...

I'm the opposite: I cut and then paint. I get the fit perfect, cut any needed holes, and get all the edges sanded before I break out the airbrush. Then I don't have to worry about screwing up the paint later on with an exacto knife, scissors, sandpaper, or Dremel.
