As suggested check your servo saver. The heavier tires could easily be overwhelming the servo saver.
As with all RTR cars and trucks the best investment is a digital radio and high torque servo. With these upgrades you should have no trouble using the larger tires. I do however suggest that you adjust your gearing to compensate for the larger roll out. Over geared cars will put unnecessary strain on you motor and speed control.
