There is some confusion about it, which seems to be because NiMh don't last as long (in the chemical sense, not mAh sense). NiMh batteries appear to have "memory effect" due to that.

I'm just going on my personal experience and some reading. Nothing scientific that I studied. From my understanding, your NiMh batteries will deteriorate chemically before you'd notice a memory effect.
