You can sign up for one class and ask to be placed on a waiting list for the other, this way everyone gets a chance to race at least one class and maybe ... just maybe, you'll get to race two classes.
The waiting list will remain until the start of the first day of racing if someone is unable to make the race you, will be placed in their spot.
