It just a matter of what you are willing to spend. In my case I run the Kyosho Stallion(1st gen). It was stupid priced I thought and now 3 years later I still run the car and feel like it was great money spent. I run against all the new cars and have no problem getting my victories. Its all in what you want and the support you can get.

I agree. The car is worth it, but I wont pay it. So I bought a nice newer used Type R and it runs with everyone else just fine and I saved enough for that $200+ ESC and motor. :P Thats a deal to me.
