I looked at changing brands acouple of months ago but stayed with associated.I
was running the FT and the CE RC8T. tough as an old boot handles well and parts are well priced. Mate has been running the Xray. Handles really well and looks to be a very tough rig. The only issue he has had is the pins walking on the rear CVD which was more of a assemly issue. As stated the mugens handles really well but have a fragile front end. A couple of mates ran the losi,s for a while but got sick of repairing the diffs.
