I 'm actually building the SDW kit and I'm preety impressed with the quality of the parts and materials especially compared to a TC4!
I was wondering about the drivetrain shimming is it ok to put 2 shims on the oposite side of the gear without stripping probs or is better to just take 1 shim off
At the moment I have 2 shims on the oposite side of the gear for the one-way and stock shimming at the rear but the drivetrain isn't really free...

cheers!
When you shim it, make sure that there is a very small amount of play in between the gears. Your other option is break-in the drive line with a stock motor, set on low volts, and let it run for a while.
