No, but the lash from the belt might cause some wierd issues in the slipper biasing, which will really show up if you have a rough track that is also dry slick where you might have the slipper a little looser than on a smooth, high bite track.
To me, this sort of situation (the one you are describing) is where the pin modification really shines.
