Hi,

Heard a lot about "matched" piston and sleeve, what is this "matching" process anyway? My LHO said "matching" is the difference between a NSR S5 piston and sleeve that cost about 100 bucks, and a Max S5 piston and sleeve that cost about 250....

Could someone enlight me about what this process is, and how its done?
I realy don't know what they mean by matched, but I can assume only two things. First-better matching temperature expantion rate between piston and sleeve and second is better matching fitting in piston-liner joint. In price difference, it looks like it is about temperature matching, not mechanical sizes fitting.
