I just picked up a brushless (novak 5800) T4 for a good price and am wondering how the ball differential will do. After driving it, it seems like the ball differential will be fine with the stock tires, but i may be running some bigger, meatier tires, which is what will put the extra strain on it.
Im also looking for gearing suggestions on my 8.5t (like the poster above). The truck came to me geared 15/87, but after driving it, it seems pretty slow compared to my Evader with a 3930kv tacon motor, so im going to gear up some. At the moment my 2 other options are 16/81, and 20/87 until i pick up some more pinion gears.
Thanks
It'll be fine, CD. Ball diffs are generally stronger than gear diffs. Especially AE's crap 1/10 scale gear diff.
