Well to attribute the tinning side of it. I have a 7 cell 1400SCR pack that I have used for 10 years now with no problems. I tinned those cells when I first assembled it, and originally hot glued them together to help keep them in place. Used Trinity bars on it too. I also took the time with heating, making sure that the cells had cool down breaks often. Since the original setup, I have reassembled it in two more ways. Currently flat for my XXX-S G+. But has been a 3-4 saddle for my YZ-10. It was orginally a hump pack. If I had not pre tinned the cells, I wouldn't have been able to reconfigure the pack as well and had the durability. The hot glue is still holding up in the places I didn't have to modify the battery for the reconfiguring.
