Ok guys, I'm hoping you guys can help me make up my mind! I currently run a 4.5 550 D3 motor. I really like it, but I want to try a pro4 motor. I'd just stick with what you have, I've ran my ballistic 4.5 550 sc10 4x head to head with a my buddy's sc10 4x pro4 4000kv and there is very little difference on small/medium tracks. The main difference is your d3 is paid for and the pro4 is not cheap! He thought he was going to be way faster. I would assume the d3 is faster than the ballistic so....why bother until you need a new motor.
There's a tripple we can both clear for around 7 laps till our batteries start to fade. I paid $62 for my ballistic brand new so win win for me.
