As for a engine spooling faster under load, not likely....Not unless the bearing being replaced created substantial amounts of drag of course....ceramics are smoother in theory, but since these bearings are being run nearly submersed in lubricant I cannot see any noticeable friction differences between steel and ceramic... if the lubricant is doing its job the balls will be riding on a film of oil anyways.... Well thats my story and I am sticking to it !
I was commenting on Monty's work. No big deal, I just didn't like my compliment being followed by the comments you made. I think any performance gain from ceramics is due to lighter rotating mass, not smoothness or friction...
