Can you tell me what engine this is? There are MANY CRF engines going all the way back to the picco OEM model. Just curious. If your engine is leaking from the plug area, it's either the plug, or it's not screwed in properly.. period.

Until this last batch. All 5 engines are having the exact same problem. So I called Horizon because some of our customers want their money back. I know not many companies do warranty on nitro engines but there is something clearly wrong. All my old discoveries came with two shims. The new ones come with three. I've never had to seal an Orion engine before but I went ahead and tried it just to see if it fixes the problem with no luck. I set it up like my old ones with two shims and a Orion 6 plug same fuel same car one runs great still and the new one will not hold a tune or idle at all. Also I switched the carbs just thinking they had a bad run and my old one does the exact same thing. Horizon and Orion both do not want to help with the issue so we are supposed to just tell customers sorry about your luck???
Jason, so you are saying all these engines are leaking from the plug area? Because that's what Nicker is saying, and you said "it's not him." Also, do you know for sure he's running a new discovery? Because that's what you are complaining about, the new Discovery.

Your story sounds horrible, and it is right in line with the other thing I was talking about earlier. You have a case where so many engines have problems, and there is absolutely no way there is anything wrong other than the engine is bad. 6 of them, or was it 5 of them? It seems like the number changed in the story there somewhere. Anyhow. PM me and I will help with this. Do you own a shop? Because it's a little odd for a shop owner to get on-line and trash a company or a distributor.

There is no way for a company to assess a problem unless they have the faulty item in hand to evaluate the problem. If all these belong to different people, there could be any number of things wrong. Maybe send a couple of these to me and I will look at them and give you my feedback.

I don't think I need to tell anyone on here that if a new hobbyist buys a new engine, they can wreck it in record time. I never would recommend a nube to even buy a new engine. I'm not saying that's the case here, but if several different customers buy engines (3 from your shop, and 3 from another), there's just any number of things that could go wrong.

Team Orion will definitely make good on any defective item if it is found to be faulty. Like I said, PM me and we can get some dialogue going, and if you send me some, I will look at these and figure out what is going on..
