Ball diffs are great for new racers. As long as you are careful and build them right the first time, they perform well and are easy to drive.

With lower turn motors they tend to slip more and do require maintenance on occasion --- hence why so many are going to gear diffs.

I love the stock AE driveshafts. They are pretty @#$% durable and I've only needed to occasionally re-grease mine.

I'm hoping the Reflex DCJ shafts can handle mod motors, since I usually favor a slipper spool in that instance. 17.5 is gear diffs all the way
